In November 2024, Ibon Aranberri won the first MACBA Foundation Prize, an award recognizing contemporary artistic excellence in Spain and Portugal, highlighting their impact on the current art scene.

Jorge Oteiza’s Ola, a 4-meter geometric sculpture permanently installed in front of MACBA, has become an iconic symbol of the building. The piece originates from a 5cm bronze model created by Oteiza in 1957.

To create the trophy, madFaber 3D-scanned the original and fabricated a pattern for bronze casting. The patinated bronze sits on a black marquina marble base
