The CORES collection

CORES, is a bespoke collection of objects inspired by earth’s sedimentation and ice sampling. Each piece is handcrafted using ancient, resin-free techniques, created as a time capsules that preserve a visual imprint of our era.

Scagliola cores

Scagliola is crafted from gypsum, rabbit skin glue, and powdered pigments. This 18th-century technique not only preserves colours for centuries but is also one of the most environmentally respectful materials, offering minimal ecological impact.

Rammed earth cores

This traditional technique is based on concrete, sand, and naturally pigmented soils. By combining excavated earth with lime and cement in varying proportions and compacting the mixture into molds, the process creates stunning tonal layers that capture the beauty of natural sedimentation.

All furniture is handcrafted in our studio in Madrid, Spain. Each piece is made to order with a lead time of 8-12 weeks. Custom colour options are available upon request, and all items can be shipped internationally.
